Hang Seng Strengthens Today!
The Hang Seng Index rebounded on Tuesday (June 2nd), rising 230 points, or approximately 0.9%, to 25,625. This increase continued the previous session's gains, driven by technology stocks, which continued to benefit from the artificial intelligence (AI) investment trend.
The Hong Kong stock exchange's gains also followed Wall Street's record-breaking gains overnight. Major technology stocks in the United States were the main drivers of global market gains, boosting investor interest in the technology sector in Asia.
However, market participants remained cautious. Uncertainty regarding peace negotiations between the United States and Iran remains a concern, as it could impact global risk sentiment, especially if tensions escalate.
In the property sector, investors are also monitoring reports of capital transfers from mainland China to overseas markets. This policy could reduce demand for Hong Kong property by wealthy Chinese buyers. Some stocks that strengthened included Tencent (up 0.5%), Lenovo (3.5%), Meituan (4.4%), Semiconductor Manufacturing International (1.6%), and Meitu (2.4%). (asd)
