Bitcoin Hits Month-Long High, Altcoins Also Strengthen
Bitcoin strengthened on Tuesday (April 14th), returning to its highest level in about a month, as risk appetite improved as energy prices eased and the market assessed that the US-Iran diplomatic path was still open, despite weekend talks failing to produce a breakthrough. In the European session, Bitcoin traded around US$74,757, up around 5.6% in 24 hours.
BTC's rise occurred amid a market that remained headline-driven: optimism over negotiations restrained risk premiums, but blockade measures and tensions surrounding Hormuz kept volatility high. The primary transmission for crypto remained through risk appetite and liquidity expectations, rather than a direct impact on network fundamentals.
Strengthening was also widespread across other major cryptocurrencies. Ethereum rose around 9.1% to US$2,390, Cardano rose 2.3% to US$0.2446, while Polkadot strengthened 0.8% to US$1.19.
